Leicestershire Police have confirmed that nine men were arrested following an incident near King Power Stadium before the match kicked off.

Videos and images circulating on social media show supporters battling in the streets before kick-off, with the ugly scenes continuing in the stadium.

“Eight men, identified as Napoli supporters, were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident,” a statement read.

“Following further enquiries, a 27-year-old Leicester man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.”
