Star Me Kitten

.

Keys cut, three for the price of one.
Nothing's free but guaranteed for a lifetime's use.
I've changed the locks
and you can't have one.
You, you know the other two.

The brakes have worn so thin that you could hear,
I hear them screeching through the door from our driveway.
Hey love, look into your glovebox heart.
What is there for me inside? This love is tired.
I've changed the locks. Have I misplaced you?
Have we lost our minds?
Will this never end?
It could depend on your take.

You. Me. We used to be on fire.
If keys are all that stand between,
Can I throw in the ring?
No gasoline.
Just fuck me kitten.
You are wild and I'm in your possesion.
Nothing's free so, fuck me kitten.

I'm in your possesion.
So, fuck me kitten.

It's actually 'Fuck Me Kitten'. We didn't want to have 'fuck' on the outside of the record sleeve.
Peter Buck 1992

We played the notes of my sampled voice on faders as though they were an instrument. The vocals are very similar to the 10cc song 'I'm Not In Love', a brilliant piece of work. There's nothing wrong woth a nod here and there to people who've done it before. You can't help what you've heard in the past. It does find its way to the front sometimes.
Mike Mills 1992

It's a real perversive love song, demented. It's an endearing term. It's not about cats.

I never thought a song could be creepy as hell and extremely sexy at the same time. It's a bizarre song. Lovely... yet very creepy.

And the version with William S. Burroughs... what the hell. My head caved in.

By PBS i listen to it over and over. never tire of it . even after months [no not ocnstantly]. makes me want to see my gf right away and do it so sweatily.

By munchi great song...and now that i have read a little more about mr. burroughs, i am more in love with this song....the song resonates with all free thinking folks....just as mr sipe and burroughs....
